ABOUT US

Started in 1984 by a group of seniors who set out to start a model railroad club in the basement of the Martin Janis Center on the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio. Current day, this club enjoys 25+ members, we have regular business meetings once a month and the layout is open to the public every Tuesday and Wednesday 10am - 4pm and Tuesday evenings from 7pm to 9pm.

We operate using analog and Digitrax DCC systems, Tuesday evenings are most often all DCC operations. Regardless all are welcome to stop by and visit.

Currently the city of Columbus has shut down the Martin Janis center along with multiple other recreation centers across the city. Please see the news page for updates on when we will be re-opening. While the center is closed we still have regular business meetings the first Wednesday of each month at 12:30pm in Classroom A of the Whetstone Recreation Center, next to the Whetstone Library.

The Whetstone Recreation Center is located at 3923 North High Street in Clintonville about 10 blocks North of West North Broadway at Hollenback Road, which leads to the Park of Roses.
